The Digital News Publishers Association (DNPA) has welcomed the initiative of the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade and Ministry of Commerce and Industry in which the relationship between copyright and AI technology is being reviewed and their opinion and concerns are being sought from the people involved.
DNPA believes that using digital news publishers content is a violation of copyright for AI training or search and information such as generative AI without their permission. The association wants such a system in which the content makers get proper money for their work and protect their rights in the digital world.
The DNPA wants to create a fair and balanced system in collaboration with the Ministry, which gives their rights to content creators and also gives AI models a chance to grow and improve.
