Donald Trump-Elon Musk: America’s 47th President Donald Trump is facing trial just minutes after taking oath. The American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) and non-profit Public Citizen have filed a lawsuit against the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) over the scheme. DOGE is led by Elon Musk, whose aim is to cut government expenses.
The DOGE plan proposed by the Trump administration aims to cut government spending by $2 trillion. This scheme has given rise to fear of losing jobs among government employees. AFGE says the DOGE plan is not following federal regulations and has asked the court to prevent DOGE from acting as an advisory board until it follows required regulations.
Elon Musk’s role
The responsibility of the Department of Government Efficiency has been entrusted to billionaire Elon Musk. There are concerns about Musk’s role that his plans could have an adverse impact on the jobs and interests of government employees. AFGE has objected to this and said that the cuts made under the scheme can become a threat to the jobs of the employees.
