India’s largest airline IndiGo has become the country’s most beloved airline for the third consecutive month. According to the February 2025 data from the Aviation Regulator Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), 80.2% flights of IndiGo were on time at metro airports like Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and Hyderabad.
Indigo’s market share was 63.7%. In February, 1.40 crore domestic passengers traveled by air, which is 11% more than last year. But 4 lakh passengers are less than January (1.46 crore) last month (1.46 crore).

89.4 lakh people traveled from Indigo in February
In February, most of the passengers traveled from IndiGo airline. 89.4 lakh passengers traveled from Indigo. After this, 38.3 lakh passengers sat in the flights of Air India Group. Traveling 6.58 lakh passengers with Akasa Air at number three.

Complaints increased slight increase
In February 2025, there was a slight increase in complaints of passengers. All airlines received a total of 821 complaints related to passengers. These are 30 more than last year. February 2024 791 complaints were received.
About 0.58 complaints were filed per 10,000 passengers, out of which 99% of the complaints have been resolved.

42.4% flights were canceled due to technical reasons
According to the data from the Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), 82,506 passengers were affected by the flight last month and the airlines spent around Rs 1.24 crore on passenger service. In February, 18,717 passengers were affected by flight cancellation, causing airlines to pay around Rs 24.86 lakh as a compensation.
The biggest reason for the flight cancellation was technical, due to which 42.4% flights were canceled. At the same time, 29.8% flights were canceled due to operational reasons and 21.6% due to weather failure.
