Foreign Institutional Investors (FII) became net sellers on Friday. At the same time, Domestic Institutional Investors i.e. DII Net buyers remained. According to provisional data, on February 21, FII sold shares worth Rs 3,450 crore, while DII bought shares worth Rs 2,885 crore.
During the trading session, DIIS bought shares worth Rs 12,889 crore and sold shares worth Rs 10,004 crore. At the same time, FII bought shares worth Rs 10,144 crore and sold shares worth Rs 13,593 crore.
FII sold shares worth ₹ 1.24 lakh crore so far this year
This year, FII has sold shares worth Rs 1.24 lakh crore so far. While DII has bought shares worth Rs 1.29 lakh crore.
Sensex fell 424 points to close at 75,311 on Friday
The Sensex fell 424 points to close at 75,311 on the last trading day of the week i.e. Friday. The Nifty also declined by 117 points, it closed at 22,795 levels.
Out of 30 Sensex’s 30 shares, 22 declined and 8 declined. Out of 50 shares of Nifty, 37 declined and 13 declined. The auto sector of the NSE Sectoral Index was the biggest decline of 2.58%.
