According to a news by ‘Dhaka Tribun’, Justice Mohammad Ghulam Murtaza Mazumdar heard the case of Sheikh Hasina. According to the reports, last year an audio clip of Sheikh Hasina was leaked. Sheikh Hasina was allegedly talking to Gobindganj Upazila Chairman Shakeel Bulbul in the alleged audio clip, in which she said, “227 cases have been registered against me, so I have got a license to kill these people.” ,

Shakeel Bulbul has been sentenced to two months in jail in the case of contempt of court. Bulbul is a political figure of Dhaka and has been associated with Bangladesh Students League (BCL), a student branch of Awami League.

Sheikh Hasina was removed from the post in August 2024, after which the Students Against Description (SAD) was followed by violent protests in Bangladesh. This movement started to demand quota reforms in government jobs, but it had become very violent. According to a UN report, about 1,400 people were killed from mid -July to mid -August.
Sheikh Hasina left Bangladesh and moved to India during a violent performance. Many of his former ministers and senior officials are facing legal action due to action taken during the protest.
