Products, a product assembled company like iPhone, iPad and Mac Book for Apple, is going to buy 300 acres of land in Greater Noida in Uttar Pradesh.
The company will build a manufacturing plant on this land near the Yamuna Expressway. This will be Foxconn’s first plant in North India and the manufacturing facility made in Bangalore will be large. Hopefully it can be the second largest plant in the world.
Today i.e. Monday, April 14, the Economic Times has given this information. The report comes at a time when Taiwan’s company and Apple are considering making supplies in India to avoid tariffs imposed on China.
What the company will make in the new plant will not decide
According to the report, the company is talking to the government about this. At present, it is not decided what will be made in this manufacturing facility. The land is near the 50-acre plant of HCL-Foxconn-making semoculture, which is close to a 50-acre plant for HCL-Phuxcon semiconductor assembly facility.
In March, it was reported that the government is in the final stages of approved the next set of proposals for pending semiconductor projects under the first phase of the India Semiconductor Mission (ISM).
Apple-fuxcon work for 25 years
There is a long partnership between American company Apple and Taiwan company Foxconn. Since the early 2000s, Taiwan’s electronics manufacturing company has been the primary supplier of Foxcon Apple, which assembles products such as iPhone, iPad and Mac Book.
Apple is able to focus on software and design in both partnerships. While Foxconn handles high volume and princely manufacturing.
A large part of the iPhone is built in the Zhengzhou plant of Foxconn, due to which it is called iPhone City. When the company works in maximum capacity, one can assemble 500,000 iPhone daily.
