In the meeting, many schemes were approved for development works in the city, community facilities, budget for religious events and enhancing the beauty of the city. To increase the income of the Municipal Council, proposals like auction of property, road cutting fee and tap connection fee were also discussed.
Proposals for renovation of religious places and various events were approved. Among these, the budget was approved for Guptganga beautification work, renovation of the boundary of Gods and Goddesses and Bhairav Bauji, Mahashivratri fair, Garba Mahotsav and Moharram festival.
To solve the parking problem in the city, the Municipal Council took a proposal to build a parking lot on the vacant garden land. Apart from this, a plan to install security wall and high mast lights around Mohanlal Sukhadia Stadium and extension of time period of work on the under construction Town Hall was also proposed.
In the special proposals, the Chairman also put forward a plan to build Hanuman Mandir Mela, intersection at Neemuch Naka, intersection at Mini Secretariat and intersection in front of Jain Temple. This meeting took many important decisions regarding the overall development of the city, which will give impetus to the development of the city in the coming times.
