There is a decline in the prices of gold and silver on Monday (January 6). According to India Bullion and Jewelers Association (IBJA), 10 grams of 24 carat gold has fallen by Rs 556 to Rs 76,948. On Friday its price was Rs 77,504 per ten grams.
At the same time, the price of one kg silver has increased by Rs 553 to Rs 87,568 per kg. Earlier on Friday, the price of silver was Rs 88,121 per kg. Last year, gold reached an all-time high of Rs 79,681 per 10 grams on October 30. At the same time, silver had reached its all-time high of Rs 99,151 per kg on 23 October 2024.
Gold gave 20% return and silver 17% return in 2024.
Last year i.e. between January 1, 2024 and December 31, 2024, the price of gold increased by 20.22%. On January 1, 2024, the price of 24 carat 10 gram gold was Rs 63,352, which increased by Rs 12,810 to Rs 76,162 in a year.
At the same time, on January 1, one kg of silver was being sold for Rs 73,395, whose price increased by Rs 12,622 to reach Rs 86,017 on the last day of the year. Silver price increased by 17.19% in one year.
