The Congress on Friday accused the central government of ignoring the suffering of the farmers and said that the legal guarantee of the Minimum Support Price (MSP) should be ensured, considering the recommendations of the Agriculture Standing Committee of Parliament. Party leader Abhay Dubey also said that as per the recommendation of the Swaminathan Commission, the MSP should be decided.

As of 22 February, 2025, there have been about seven meetings of this committee and 39 meetings of the sub -committee. “He said,” On the one hand, the country’s Agriculture Minister takes flight from Bhopal to Delhi on 22 February, “he said, referring to a recent development related to Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan. During the journey, he has trouble sitting on the aircraft chair and he causes chaos on social media. On the other hand, farmers have been suffering torture for the past several years, but no one talks about them. ”
Dubey alleged that the anti -farmer Modi government closed the bonuses being given to the farmers as soon as they came to power, started the order of snatching the right to the land and refused to give the support price above 50 percent of the cost. According to him, the report of the Standing Committee related to agriculture of Parliament said that farmers’ income cannot be resolved without giving the MSP legal guarantee. He said that the government should give the legal guarantee of the MSP.
