Rohit sharma mastestroke mahela jayawardene: In IPL 2025, the match of Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals took place last Sunday. Delhi was moving towards easy victory, but Mi had overturned a exciting victory of 12 runs in the death overs. For Delhi, Karun Nair played a stormy innings of 89 runs in 40 balls, but Mitchell Santner made him come back to Mumbai in a clean bold.
During this, Rohit Sharma had indicated to Karn Sharma sitting in the dug-out to take a new ball. Actually, under the new BCCI rules, a team can now take a new ball after 10 overs of the innings. Rohit’s gesture to take a new ball is being called Mastrstroke. After taking the new ball, Karn Sharma first dismissed Triston Stabs and then sent KL Rahul to the pavilion and brought the match towards Mumbai.
MI coach did not support Rohit Sharma
Now former India cricketer Harbhajan Singh has made a big claim saying that Mahela Jayawardene, head coach of Mumbai Indians, was not in favor of Rohit Sharma’s decision to change the ball. He even refused to listen to Rohit by standing near the dug-out. Pictures of this incident were shared well on social media.
Harbhajan Singh claimed, “Rohit Sharma played Masterstroke. He asked the head coach Mahela Jayawardene about bowling with the spinners and wanted to bowl to Karn Sharma, but Jayawardene refused to listen to Rohit as he was not in favor of bringing the spinners.”
If you listen to the coach, Mumbai would have lost
Harbhajan Singh further said that if the Mumbai team would listen to coach Mahela Jayawardene, he would have lost the match. Harbhajan said, “Rohit Sharma was present there, he always thinks like a captain. A captain is always captain and Mumbai Indians won with his mind.”
