Mohammed Siraj Batting IND vs AUS 3rd Test: India vs Australia third test had reached a very exciting turn on the fourth day. Australia had scored a huge score of 445 runs in the first innings, in response to which Team India was at one time struggling even to save the follow-on. Let us tell you that on the fourth day of the Gabba Test, the Indian management had sent Mohammad Siraj to bat at ninth position. Now India’s legendary bowler Harbhajan Singh has given an interesting statement regarding Siraj’s batting position.
This popular topic gained momentum when Nathan Lyon asked Jasprit Bumrah on the field on the fourth day of the Gabba Test why he was batting lower in the order than Siraj. Bumrah said that there is a secret hidden behind this. Now while discussing on a show, Harbhajan Singh took a dig at Siraj’s batting position and said that most of the people were asking the same question that why was Siraj sent to bat higher in the order than Bumrah and Akashdeep?
DSP Mohammad Siraj got promotion
Harbhajan Singh jokingly said on the question of Mohammed Siraj’s batting position, “It is a very good question. I don’t know what he has done in batting that he was sent to the higher order in batting. He got promotion in the police job. Got it and now I have got promotion here too.” Recall that the Telangana government had appointed Siraj as DSP in October 2024.
The decision to send Mohammad Siraj to the ninth position was heavily criticized. Ravindra Jadeja was in command from one end and India had to save the follow-on score. In such a situation, Siraj was out after scoring only 1 run after playing 11 balls.
