Dr. Abdul Nasir showed keen interest in investing in areas like tourism sector, adventure sports and skiing. He said that the UAE has identified potential sectors for investment in the state. He welcomed the suggestions of the state government for additional sites.

Invitation of investment in green energy sector
The CM said that Himachal is on the path of establishing green energy as a state till the coming year. During the last two years, the present state government has made efforts to exploit environmental protection and green energy. The initiative includes new solar power projects, development of 6 green corridors and replacing all diesel buses owned by the state in a phased manner. Himachal Pradesh has a capacity of 25 percent of the country’s hydro power generation. There are immense opportunities to invest in the green energy sector including solar energy and pump storage projects.
UAE connected to green energy sector in India: Ambassador
The UAE ambassador said that his country is already connected to the Green Energy Sector in India. The UAE is also ready to invest in green energy projects in Himachal. He urged to share information about special projects with the United Arab Emirates to establish coordination for the implementation of projects between the two.

Invitation to invest in cold storage
The Chief Minister invited the United Arab Emirates companies to invest in food processing, cold storage facilities, smart city projects and modern urban schemes in the state. Both sides agreed to work jointly in this direction and speed up development.
Technical team will soon come to Himachal to assess: Ambassador
The ambassador said that a technical team of UAE will visit the state soon to assess the projects and a decision will be given on further action. In view of this, a meeting will be held between the officials of both sides.

During this period, Industry Minister Harshvardhan Chauhan, Principal Advisor to Chief Minister (Information Technology and Innovation) Gokul Butel, UAE Economic Affairs expert Rashid Amiri, Chief Secretary Prabodh Saxena, Infrastructure Advisor Anil Kapil, Additional Chief Secretary RD Nazim, Principal Secretary Devesh Kumar, Secretary to Chief Minister Rakesh Kanwar and other senior officials were also present.
