After Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors and Kia India, Hyundai India and Donda Cars have also announced to increase the price of their vehicles. The new prices will be applicable from April-2025. Earlier, all companies announced an increase in the prices of their cars in December three months ago.
All automobile companies have given almost the same reason behind increasing the prices of passenger vehicles. Companies are taking such a decision due to increase in input costs and logistics. This decision of companies will directly affect the pockets of customers, especially on customers who are considering buying new cars.

Hyundai vehicles will be expensive by 3%
South Korean Automacker Hyundai Motor has announced an increase in the price of vehicles by 3% on Wednesday (March 19). This decision has been taken in view of rising input costs, increased prices of commodity and operating cost. The increase in price will vary depending on the models and variants. Earlier in January, the company made its vehicles expensive by Rs 25,000.
Mahindra sold more cars than Hyundai in February
Hyundai sells models such as Grand i10 Nios, i20, Aura, Varna, Extercade, Wenu, Creta, Alkazar, Tuxon, Creta, Creta Electric and Ionic-5 in India. Hyundai slipped from second place to third place after Maruti Suzuki in the case of monthly sales in February. Mahindra & Mahindra finished second last month. Hyundai sold 47,727 vehicles in the Indian market in February, a decline of 4.93% compared to the 50,201 units sold in February-2024.
All Honda models will be expensive by up to 3%
Japanese company Honda has announced to increase the price of all the models sold in the Indian market on Wednesday (March 19). Honda has not yet revealed the amount of increase.
It is likely that Honda, like other companies, may also increase the price of its models by 3%. Earlier, the company had increased the price of its cars by 2% in January.
The company said that due to the rising input cost and operating cost, the prices of all models will be increased from April. The increase in prices of cars will vary depending on the model and variant.

Tata Motors increased prices for the second time in 3 months
Tata Motors has announced to increase the price of its passenger car from April-2025. The company will increase the price of all passenger vehicles (petrol, diesel and electric) included in its portfolio. However, Tata has not said what percentage prices will be increased. The company is going to increase the prices of cars for the second time in 3 months, earlier in January this year, the prices of its passenger vehicles were increased by 3%.
Tata Motors reported in an exchange filing on Tuesday that, it has been decided to raise prices due to manufacturing and increase in input costs. The company also stated that the price hike will be different according to the model and variant. Earlier, Tata Motors had announced to increase the price of commercial vehicles by 2% from April 2025 on Monday.
Tata Motors plans to launch several new cars this year, including the EV version of the Harrier and the re -return of Sierra. Both Ice and EV avatars of Tata Sierra will be introduced. The company can also introduce a facelift version of some of its existing cars like Panch, Tiago and Tigor by the end of the year.

Kia’s cars will be expensive by up to 3%
South Korean automobile company Kia Motors India has also announced to increase the price of its cars. The company said that all the car prices will be increased by 3%. The new prices will be applicable from next month i.e. April 2025.
The automaker reported that the expenses related to the supply have also increased. Kia has decided to increase all her car prices due to increase in commodity prices and increase the cost of supply chains.
The company said that expenses like shipping, transportation and logistics have increased. These expenses include the cost of delivering parts and parts in the factory and then to the prepared car dealership. Kia has also described the increase in the cost of steel, aluminum and plastic as the reason for the increase in the price of cars.
Maruti Suzuki’s vehicles will be 4% expensive
Maruti Suzuki had said on Monday (March 17) that, due to the rising cost of Raw Material and increase in operational cost, the prices of cars will be increased from April-2025. Prices will increase up to 4% and will vary by model.
Earlier, from 1 February 2025, Maruti had increased the car prices by Rs 32,500. At the same time, in January too, the company had increased all its models by up to 4%. Even then Maruti had said the reason for increasing the price Raw Material.
