Nishikant dubey: The Supreme Court is sitting to hear the Waqf Amendment Act passed by Parliament. There was a debate in the Supreme Court for two days and the court demanded the government’s reply on the Waqf Act within 7 days. Amid the debate on this, Bharatiya Janata Party MP Nishikant Dubey has given a statement, which is being discussed fast.
Amid hearing the Waqf law, the statements of some leaders about the Supreme Court have also come before, including BJP MP and JPC President Jagdambika Pal on Waqf. Among the statements, Nishikant Dubey has said that ‘if the law itself is enacted, then the Parliament House should be closed.’
Jagdambika Pal said- If anything unconstitutional then I will resign
On the previous day, BJP MP and Waqf JPC President Jagdambika Pal said on Friday that if it is found that the report made by the Joint Parliamentary Committee is unconstitutional, he will resign from his post. Jagdambika Pal told ANI in Delhi, “I have already said that if the report made by our side is unconstitutional or interfere in religious freedom, I will resign.” He accused the opposition parties and especially the Congress of misleading people and attacked that this law really helps poor and Pasmanda Muslims.
The BJP MP said, ‘Parliament has passed the law after a debate of more than 12 hours and after the President’s approval, it has become the law of the country. The Supreme Court has the right to explain this and has some petitions in which the law has been accused of attacking unconstitutional or religious freedom or snatching land. He says outside that it is unconstitutional and an attack on religious freedom, but in court he only raises these issues (about Waqf by users, non-Muslim members). The Supreme Court listened to him, he did not stop the implementation, but gave the government only 7 days to answer it.
He said that it has been established in the law that Waqf Board is not a religious body across the country, but a legal body that aims to take care of Waqf properties only.
