Mahindra & Mahindra delivered 6,300 electric vehicles in 40 days, including BE 6 and XEV 9E. 30,179 units were booked on the first day. The demand for XEV 9E was 59%.

New Delhi. Mahindra & Mahindra announced in terms of Q4 Ernings Calls, that the company has delivered 6,300 electric vehicles (EV) in India in just 40 days. These vehicles include the recently launched Born Electric Vehicles, BE 6 and XEV 9E. Both EVs created history when 30,179 units were booked on the first day and the booking value was Rs 7,472 crore.
Delivery of top-of-the-line variants
The Indian SUV manufacturer started delivery of top-off-the-line variants, pack three, from 20 March 2025 and XEV 9E. Mahindra said that 59% of EVS in demand is the flagship model, XEV 9E, and customers are choosing the top trim. Mahindra also said that the waiting period of the remaining bookings of these two EV SUVs is about 4 to 5 months.
In the Entrance Call, Rajesh Jejuriker, Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer, Auto and Farm Sector, Mahindra & Mahindra, said that the company is the number one EV player in the country in terms of revenue market share. He further stated that even though the company is not looking for volume market share and the price of Mahindra EVS is more than competition, the company remains number one in revenue market share.
682 km range
Mahindra BE 6 and XEV 9E are based on the in-house developed Inglo Skateboard electric platform by Mahindra. Both vehicles have two battery pack options available – 59 kwh and 79 kwh. The first one gets a range of 557 km at BE 6 and the second one gets a range of 682 km, while in XEV 9E the same battery pack options give 542 km and 656 km respectively.
