India vs Australia 3rd Test Follow on: India-Australia third test has reached an exciting turn. By the end of the fourth day’s play, the Indian team had scored 252 runs at the loss of 9 wickets. Australia is still ahead by 193 runs in the first innings. The topic of follow-on remained in discussions on the fourth day, finally after a lot of hard work, Team India was successful in saving the follow-on by crossing the mark of 246 runs. For India, currently Jasprit Bumrah and Akashdeep are at the crease, between whom there is a partnership of 39 runs.
By the end of the third day’s play, India had lost 4 wickets at the score of 51. Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal were out cheaply. On the fourth day, India continued its innings with a score of 51, but captain Rohit Sharma returned to the pavilion after scoring only 10 runs and Rishabh Pant also could not do anything special. But from here KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja took command. Rahul scored 84 runs, while Jadeja made an important contribution of 77 runs.

India’s 5 wickets had fallen at the score of 74, in such a situation the team was in danger of saving the follow-on. In such a situation, the partnership of 67 runs between Rahul and Jadeja brought the Indian team back into the match. After Rahul was out, Jadeja made a partnership of 53 runs with Nitish Reddy. Despite these two partnerships, at one time the Indian team had lost 9 wickets at the score of 213 and still 33 runs were to be scored to save the follow-on.
From here, Jasprit Bumrah and Akashdeep showed maturity in batting despite being 10th and 11th ranked batsmen. By the end of the fourth day, Akashdeep was unbeaten on 27 runs and Jasprit Bumrah was unbeaten on 10 runs. Their partnership of 39 runs has kept India alive in the Brisbane Test. In case the follow-on was not avoided, the Australian team would have completely dominated the match, which would have dealt a major blow to Team India’s hopes of a World Test Championship final apart from defeat.
