Matt henry injury update: There is a bad news for New Zealand before the final match of the Champions Trophy. India’s legendary player Akash Chopra has expressed enthusiasm that Mohammed Shami and Mat Henry, two fast bowlers, will be beautiful in the title clash. At the same time, Chopra also expressed doubt that Matt Henry is not fully fit for the final match. If this is the case then it is also a big shock for the Kiwi team because Henry has taken 10 wickets in the tournament so far.
Good news for India?
While discussing his YouTube channel, Akash Chopra said that it is difficult to tell who has been better than Mohammed Shami and Matt Henry in the Champions Trophy 2025? He said, “On one side there is Mohammed Shami, on the other hand Matt Henry. How can you choose any of them? Both of them will be touched. If Henry completed a 5-ici hall against us, Shami did the same against Bangladesh. Henry will play the final or not, there is some doubt about what he will decide?”
New Zealand’s main bowler injured
Matt Henry has taken a total of 10 wickets in the Champions tournament so far. He suffered a shoulder injury while catching a catch in the semi -final against South Africa on 5 March. Since then Henry’s fitness has remained a matter of concern. On the other hand, Akash Chopra said on the subject of Mohammed Shami that this may be the last opportunity to win the ICC Trophy. Chopra expressed doubt that Shami may not be included in the T20 World Cup 2026 plan. It will be worth seeing which of Shami and Henry becomes the highest wicket -taking bowler of Champions Trophy.
