India got a target of 252 to win
Earlier, by winning the toss, New Zealand decided to bat first. Rohit Sharma lost the 12th consecutive toss in ODIs as captain. After a good start, Team India strengthened their hold in the match due to New Zealand’s consecutive wickets. Derryl Mitchell scored the highest 63 runs for the Kiwi team. Michael Bracewell’s 53 -run innings was able to reach the respectable score of New Zealand 252.
Varun Chakraborty and Kuldeep Yadav took 2-2 wickets for India. Kuldeep initially took important wickets of Rachin Ravindra (37) and Kane Williamson (11). Mohammed Shami and Ravindra Jadeja had 1-1 wickets.
