NSA Ajit Doval Visit To China: The border dispute between India and China has been going on for a long time. To completely end this, both the countries have taken initiative, due to which an important meeting is being organized in Beijing. This meeting is special in many ways, because for the first time in the last 5 years, neighboring countries are going to participate in the meeting together with their Special Representatives. On behalf of India, there will be National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval, who has reached Beijing with his team.
The agenda of the meeting will mainly be border dispute. On this, agreements related to withdrawal of troops and patrolling in Demchok and Depsang areas will be reviewed. Apart from this, violations on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) and coordinator patrolling on the border will be discussed. India’s emphasis will be on restoring the status of April 2020.
China’s reaction on Ajit Doval’s visit
During the visit of National Security Advisor Ajit Doval to China, the neighboring country has also reacted. A statement has come from China’s Foreign Ministry on this. He said that we have to work together towards improving mutual relations as soon as possible. China stressed on respecting each other’s interests. China’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said that we are ready to work together with India.
India’s strict stance in border dispute
During the last four years, several diplomatic talks have taken place between India and China, including 21 rounds of meetings of Corps Commanders. India kept its position clear and strict at every level. During this period, India refused to bow to any pressure from China and maintained its military activities and infrastructure. Apart from this, India’s increasing role in forums like G20, BRICS, SCO, and Quad worked to increase pressure on China.
