Forbes Powerful Country List: Forbes released the ranking of the 10 most powerful countries in the world in 2025, with India excluded from the top 10. Forbes said that this list has been prepared by US News and five main parameters have been used for the ranking. This list is prepared on the basis of its leader, economic influence, political influence, strong international alliance, and strong army in any country.

Questions on keeping India out
Given India’s large population, military strength and economic progress, it is surprising to keep it out of this list. Despite being India’s fourth largest army and fifth largest economy, it was not given a place in this ranking. This has raised the question in many experts and public that the ranking method of Forbes has failed to assess India’s impact correctly.
Ranking model and research team
This ranking model is designed by BAV Group, which is a unit of WPP. The research team was led by David Rebstein, Professor of Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
Countries like America, China and Russia have retained their strong positions, while Forbes is on target of critics due to excluding emerging strengths like India.
