
India Pakistan Ceasefire: The ceasefire was agreed on Saturday after the military tension between India and Pakistan and retaliation on the Line of Control (LOC), which was possible after the talks of the Directorate of Military Operations (DGMO) of the two countries. US President Donald Trump first posted and told about it that the two countries have agreed to ceasefire. After this, all countries around the world welcomed it.
US President Donald Trump shared information on his official social media account Truth Social social that after an overnight talks in America’s mediation, India and Pakistan agreed to the complete and immediate ceasefire. This statement was made public a few hours before the formal confirmation of the Government of India.
German statement
Germany described the move as “a significant turn towards reducing stress”. Berlin said that this consent is a positive initiative to deal with the situation that was created between India and Pakistan in recent times.

European Union’s response
Kaza Kailas, a high representative of the European Union’s foreign affairs and security policy, said that India and Pakistan have taken commendable steps towards controlling tension. He also shared that he he Indian Foreign Minister S.K. Jaishankar and Pakistani Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar have interacted on this subject.

UK support
Britain’s Foreign Secretary David Lammy described the decision of ceasefire as useful for peace and in collective interest. He hoped that both countries would fulfill this agreement and will adopt a diplomatic path even further.
Saudi Arabia’s response
Posting on social media, Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Ministry wrote that they welcome the ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan. Expressing the hope of restoration of peace, he also said that this step is positive for the entire South Asia region.
Pakistan’s violation and India’s response
Hours after the formal announcement of the ceasefire, Pakistan opened the LoC and violated the ceasefire. The Indian Army strongly responded to this attack and thwarted several drone attacks sent by Pakistan from Jammu and Kashmir to Gujarat. The Indian Ministry of External Affairs has taken this violation seriously and clarified that the Indian Army has been given complete exemption for any necessary action. Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri said in a press conference that Pakistan should understand and restrain the seriousness of the situation. He also reiterated that India wants peace but is ready to give a befitting reply to any provocation.
