Trump issues executive order against illegal immigrants Apart from banning the entry of illegal immigrants, after taking oath on Monday, Trump has also issued an executive order to abolish birthright citizenship.
Executive orders are orders issued by the President. His order becomes a law which does not require the approval of Congress. Congress cannot reverse these. However, these can be challenged in court.
Trump said he would declare a national emergency on the US-Mexico border. Illegal entry into the country will be stopped immediately and the government will start the process of sending millions of illegal immigrants back to their country. Since then, the immigrants living illegally in America are in danger.

Immediately after taking the oath of office, Trump signed an executive order banning the entry of illegal immigrants and ending birthright citizenship.
Birthright citizenship law in America for 150 years The 14th Amendment to the US Constitution guarantees birthright citizenship to children. This law has been in force in America for 150 years. Trump has decided to eliminate birthright citizenship.
Trump has ordered the denial of birthright citizenship to children of parents who are living in the US illegally or on temporary visas. Trump has given 30 days to implement this order.
According to the 2022 report of Pew Research Center, 16 lakh Indian children have got citizenship by birth in America.
However, Trump’s order states that it will apply only to those born in the US after 30 days from the date of this order. This means that the coming generations of Indians in America will be under its ambit.
