Rohit, who came to bat at number six in the second test, scored three and six runs in two innings. He was LBW in the first innings while Australian captain Pat Cummins bowled him in the second innings. Kohli, who ended a 16-month century drought with a century in the first Test in Perth, was out behind the wicket in both innings in the pink-ball Test. He took the second slip in the first innings and caught the wicket in the second innings.
Star Indian batsman Kohli practiced with full enthusiasm. He was cautious in the beginning of the net session but then gradually got into the rhythm. Lokesh Rahul looked more calm. He focused more on his defense while Rishabh Pant played some pick up shots. Young opener Yashasvi Jaiswal, who scored 161 runs in India’s massive 295-run win in the opening Test, hit some good shots and also adopted an aggressive stance against the Indian bowlers.
