Krunal Pandya and Virat Kohli performed brilliant batting in front of Delhi Capitals. Both batsmen scored half -centuries and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) defeated Delhi Capitals (DC) by six wickets at Arun Jaitley Stadium on Sunday. RCB reached the top of the points table with this.

DC could score 162 runs due to the strong performance of Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s 3-33, Josh Hazlewood’s 2-36 and Krunal and Suyash Sharma."Text-Align: justify;"> RCB did not have a good start to chase 163 runs in 20 overs. RCB lost three wickets within just 26 runs. Delhi Capitals strengthened their grip on the match, but, Krunal played a brilliant innings of 73 runs with the help of five fours and four sixes off 47 balls and turned all the expectations of DC.

Pandya also got a good support of Virat Kohli at the other end. Kohli scored 51 runs in 47 balls. Both shared 119 runs for the fourth wicket. Tim David scored an unbeaten 19 off five balls to win RCB.

Jacob Bethel gave RCB a brilliant start by hitting a six off the consecutive balls of Mitchell Starc in the second over, but, Bethel became a victim of Akshar Patel in the process of playing a short. Devdutt came to the creepage. However, he too returned to the pavilion off Patel. Captain Rajat Patidar arrived at the crease after two wickets fell, but, due to the run out, had to return to the pavilion.

DC’s grip in power-play did not give Kohli and Pandya a chance to play openly. Gradually, Kohli achieved the rhythm. Kuldeep Yadav was taken on target. Virat made his intentions clear by hitting Kuldeep’s ball.
