Official video of b-2 bombers: At midnight of June 21, the US Air Force carried out a secret and extremely dangerous operation, named Operation Midnight Hammer. Under this operation, seven B-2 Spirit Stealth Bombers aircraft flew from the Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri, USA and bombed Iran’s three nuclear bases after a 37-hour long flight. In this attack, America used its most powerful bunker-piercing bomb GBU-57 MOP. Now the US Air Force has also released a video of this entire mission, in which the aircraft can be seen taking off at 12:01 pm and landing after the mission.
The most dangerous mission of 37 hours
This operation started on 21 June and lasted till the next day. The total flight period was 37 hours. This was the second longest flight ever after the 2001 Operation Enduring Freedom of America’s B-2 aircraft. Then B-2 took 44 hours of flight. This time all the B -2 aircraft involved in the mission made a nonstop flight, the bomb dropping on the target and the safe return – everything in the same mission.
GBU-57 MOP: 30 thousand pound bunker bomb
In this operation, B-2 bombers were equipped with GBU-57 Massive Ordnance Penetrator (MOP). It is a bomb weighing 30,000 pounds that can explode by penetrating 200 feet under the ground. Its special fuse system delays delay so that the maximum damage can be done inside. This bomb can be dropped only by B-2 aircraft. This time the US targeted three Iran’s nuclear bases – Fordo, Natanz and Isfahan. All these places are considered underground nuclear facilities.

Air fuel stuffing and secret coordination
Each B-2 aircraft had two pilots during the mission. The aircraft continued to get fuel at mid-air refueling points after Missouri flying from the airbase. He then coordinated with the support package under the US Central Command (Central Command). This coordination took place in a narrow aerial border where accurate timeliness with minimal radio connectivity was extremely important. All this was done quietly and very fast.
Attack from sea and sky together
When the B-2 aircraft were to enter the Iranian border, a US Navy submarine fired more than 25 Tomahawk cruise missiles from the Center Command area. Their aim was to eliminate the major military and infrastructure targets on the surface of Iran. Along with this, decoy (confusion) aircraft were also deployed so that Iran’s air defense system would be confused. At the same time, the fourth and fifth generation American fighter jets kept flying in front of the main strike package and the enemy’s fighter jets and missiles kept cleaning the danger in advance.
When did the attack and how much destruction
Eastern America is at 6:40 pm as per time (2:10 pm in Iran), the first B-2 bombs falls two GBU-57 bombs on the Fordo site. Soon after that other bombers also attacked their goals. Overall, 14 massive Ordnance Penetrator bombs were dropped. The attack was completed between 6:40 PM to 7:05 PM Eastern Time. All three targets – Fordo, Natanz and Isfahan were suffering serious damage.
