
Israeli aistrike kills Hamas Leader: Hamas political leader Salah Al-Baradavil died in the Israeli air strike in Gaza. The attack took place in Khan Younis, where his wife also lost his life along with Bardavil. According to Hamas -backed media, Bardawil was a member of Hamas’s political office.
Israel has resumed its fight on Gaza on Tuesday (March 18), in which several goals were carried out by air strikes. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has told Hamas to destroy Hamas as a military and ruling unit. This struggle has killed hundreds of people, which include a large number of women and children.
Prominent Hamas leaders killed
Many prominent Hamas leaders have been killed in the Israeli air strike in Gaza. Hamas’s real government chief Essam Adlyas and internal security head Mahmood Abu Watfa were killed in an Israeli attacks on Tuesday. The Israeli army also killed Hamas’s military intelligence chief Osama Tabash in southern Gaza. Israel described Tabash as head of Hamas monitoring and targeting unit. According to the Filistini Health Ministry, at least 400 people were killed on Tuesday, of which more than half of which were women and children.
Disagree on ceasefire between Hamas and Israel
There is disagreement between Israel and Hamas over the continuation of the three-step ceasefire that started in January 2023. During the ongoing discussions between the two sides, the United States has failed to resolve the Arab arbitrations supported by the United States. In the first phase, Hamas released about three dozen hostages in exchange for about 2,000 Palestinian prisoners, but the second phase is still in the balance. The purpose of this phase was to ensure the release of the remaining 60 hostages, but both sides have not agreed to it. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu threatened to resume military action. After this, food and support supply in Gaza was stopped.
Increasing attacks and civil casualties in Gaza
Violence continues in Gaza since the Hamas border attack on 7 October 2023. About 1,200 people were killed and 250 hostage were held in this attack of Hamas. In response, Israel began a military attack, in which more than 48,000 Palestinians have been killed and about 90 percent of Gaza’s population has been displaced. Gaza’s Health Ministry said that more than half of the casualties are women and children. However, the Ministry of Health of Gaza does not distinguish between citizens and terrorists, causing the actual figure of casualties.
