Jagdeep Singh of Indian origin has become the highest paid employee in the world. According to Money Control, Jagdeep, former founder and CEO of QuantumScape, has received an annual package of Rs 17,500 crore (about $ 2.1 billion), which is about Rs 48 crore (about $ 5.8 million) on a daily basis. This salary is more than the annual revenue of many big companies.
Jagdeep Singh is an Indian-born American industrialist and technologist. Singh studied B.Tech from Stanford University in the US and holds an MBA degree from the University of California, Berkeley.
Prior to starting QuantumScape, he spent more than a decade in leadership positions at several companies early in his career. During this period, Singh worked on new technology for making batteries and gained expertise in this sector.
There is specialization in EV Singh has his own special identity in creating battery technology for Electric Vehicle (EV). He founded QuantumScape in the US in 2010. The company specializes in manufacturing next-generation solid-state batteries, which are known to improve the performance of EVs and reduce charging times.
Currently, there is a trend to use lithium ion batteries in electric vehicles. Later people like Volkswagen and Bill Gates have invested in this company. In 2020, QuantumScape was listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE).
