Foreign Minister of India Dr. S. Jaishankar told the media in the US capital Washington on Tuesday night that India maintains its zero tolerance policy against terrorism. Terrorist groups and their supporters understand this well.
Jayashankar, referring to Operation Sindoor, which started on 7 May, said that those responsible for the terrorist attacks and their supporters would be held accountable.
Jaishankar said- We have faced terrorism for many decades and we are answering it firmly today. We have the right to defend ourselves. Terrorism criminals should be brought into the dock.
Discussion on many issues including trade and defense with America
Jaishankar reviewed the meetings held in the last six months with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and spoke on issues like trade, investment, technology, defense, security and energy.
He also discussed the issue of defense and energy separately with US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth. Apart from this, Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong and Japan Foreign Minister Takeshi Ivaya also interacted.

Quad Summit will be in India later this year
Jaishankar informed that the Quad Summit will be held in India later this year. Quad countries (India, America, Japan, Australia) have started many new initiatives.
These include Quad Critical Minerals Initiative, Quad Indo-Pacific Logistics Network, Quad at C Ship Observer Mission and Quad Ports of the Future.
Jaishankar said that the purpose of quad is to strengthen strategic stability in Indo-Pacific. The meeting also discussed Israel-Iran struggle and America’s action in Iran. Also, there was a meeting between the companies in the quad countries regarding the necessary minerals.
Quad countries condemned the Pahalgam terror attack
A meeting of foreign ministers of quad countries was held in Washington on Tuesday. Strictly condemned the terrorist attack in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir and resolved to take action against terrorism.
In which India’s Foreign Minister S.K. Jaishankar, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Japan’s Takeshi Ivaya and Australia Foreign Minister Penny Wong attended.

Critical minerals initiative started
Quad countries together launched a special mineral initiative. Its name is ‘Quad Critical Minerals Initiative’. The initiative has started to reduce China’s dominance in the field of minerals.
In a joint statement after a conversation by foreign ministers, the foreign ministers of the countries said to start an initiative. Which foreign ministers described it as important for securing and promoting minerals.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio described quad countries as an important strategic partner and said that the time has come to take action on many special issues.
