In the absence of Bumrah, Virat Kohli took command of Team India.
Team India had defeated Australia on the score of 181 runs in the first innings. After this, by the end of play on the second day of the match, India had scored 141 runs in the second innings. Bumrah went out of the field during the second session of the second day. He also went to the hospital. His scanning was done here. When he left the field the matter did not appear to be very serious. BCCI manager Anshuman Upadhyay also went along with Bumrah.
Will Bumrah take the field now or not?
No official response has been received yet from BCCI or Team India regarding Bumrah. But Cricbuzz has given an update on this. According to the report, Bumrah’s playing on Sunday will depend on how he feels in the morning. So their playing right now is 50-50 percent. If Bumrah remains fit, he will definitely come on the field.
If Bumrah does not play, who will captain the Sydney Test?
In the absence of Bumrah, Virat took command of Team India. If Bumrah does not come on the field on Sunday, then Virat Kohli can take charge in his place. Kohli is an experienced player and he also has good experience of captaincy.
