India Squad for Champions Trophy 2025: Team India, who is preparing for the Champions Trophy 2025, has suffered a major setback. Jasprit Bumrah, the most trusted bowler of captain Rohit Sharma, has been ruled out of the ICC tournament due to a back injury. The BCCI announced his replacement on Tuesday and also announced Team India for the Champions Trophy.

Jasprit Bumrah’s exit since the Champions Trophy 2025 is a major setback for India, as it has proved to be the team’s biggest match winner for the last few years. The BCCI has ignored Mohammad Siraj and has included young fast bowler Harshit Rana in the team in place of Bumrah.

Bumrah Champions Trophy out of 2025

In the last match of the recent Test series against Australia, Jasprit Bumrah had a problem in his back and was out of the ground. He was then excluded from the ODI series against England. Indian fans hoped that Bumrah would fit before the Champions Trophy, but this could not happen. Now the selectors have given great responsibility on Harshit Rana’s shoulders, but it is certain that Rohit Sharma will miss Bumrah in the mega event.

Ajit Agarkar -led Selection Committee has made another major change at the last moment. Emerging stars of Team India Yashasvi Jaiswal have been shown the way out and instead the entry of Mystery spinner Varun Chakraborty has been replaced in the team. Yashasvi was also included in the ODI team after a bang in Australia. He also got a chance to debut in the match played against England in Rajkot, but was dropped in the next match. Now the team management has decided to take spinner Varun Chakraborty to Dubai in his place, playing big bets.
