
On Sunday, more than three thousand Israeli and Indians celebrated Holi and Jewish festival at Jafa Port in a program organized by the Indian Mission in collaboration with Tel Aviv Municipality. In the ‘India at Jafa Port’ program organized to celebrate both festivals, there was a lively demonstration of Indian culture including dance, classical music, Indian apparel, henna, jewelery and Indian cuisine, which gave the people present there a authentic Indian experience.
Holi and Jewish festival Purim are on the same day or two gap every year. Thousands of Indians from across the country participated in this program, including Israeli and Indian students of Indian origin.

A participant said that both festivals are celebrated as a symbol of the victory of good over evil. Both festivals are celebrated at about the same time & ndash; The arrival of spring and the end of winter. Both festivals are celebrated in the open, where the communities come together, dance, sing, eat and have fun with a sense of solidarity. People adorned in Indian costumes in various ways in Yafo’s flea market appeared in a festive atmosphere.
