According to the Pakistani website ARY, the report released by the Pakistani agency Pneumboo states which city is more secure in the year 2025. According to this report, Lahore has surpassed New York, London and Paris, the major cities of the world in terms of security. The report highlights the improvement in the crime index of Lahore. It states that Lahore is at number 37 in the Global Crime Index. According to the report, Lahore ranks 63 in 249 safest international urban areas.
Reduction in theft- report
In this report, the credit for describing Lahore as safe has been given strict accountability and action taken by the police. It has been told that for the first time in the history of the city, such a rapid decline in crime has been recorded. According to Pakistani agency data, crimes registered between April 2023 and April 2024 have fallen by 50 percent. It has been said that there was a 64 percent decrease in robbery and murder.
According to the report, there has been a 55 per cent decrease in normal robbery, 33 per cent decrease in motorcycle theft, 42 per cent decrease in snatching, 33 per cent decrease in car theft and 39 per cent in other vehicle theft. In this report, action has also been mentioned on eliminating fake parking and taking bribe employees.
