LIC Q3 Results: LIC Cons Pat Jumps 16% Yoy to Rs 11,009 Crore | LIC’s third-term profit increased by 16% to ₹ 11,009 crore: Net premium income declined 9%, insurance company shares fell 26% in a year

The country’s largest insurance company LIC’s fiscal increased to ₹ 11,009 crore in the third quarter (July-September) of FY 2024-25 on a consolidated net profit annual basis (YOY). The company made a profit of ₹ 9,469 crore in the same quarter of a year ago.

Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has released the results of the third quarter on 7 February. The company’s net premium income has declined by 9% on an annual basis. Net premium income was Rs 1.07 lakh crore in the third quarter of FY25. Net premium income was Rs 1.17 lakh crore in the third quarter of FY24, the same quarter of a year ago.

LIC shares fell 26% in a year

LIC shares closed 2.15% to close at ₹ 811 on Friday. The company’s stock has fallen 26.62% in the last one year. The company’s market cap is Rs 5.16 lakh crore.

LIC made in 1956 including 245 companies

Till 1956, 154 Indian insurance companies, 16 foreign companies and 75 provident companies worked in India. On 1 September 1956, the government introduced all these 245 companies and introduced LIC, the Life Insurance Corporation of India.

In 1956, LIC had 5 zonal offices, 33 divisional offices, 212 branch offices and a corporate office. The company did a business of 200 crores in a year. A major reason behind this trust was the guarantee of the government.
