MLC 2025: This year has happened several times in the IPL, when the team retired the batsman out and sent another batsman to the crease. The team takes such a step when the batsman at the crease is struggling to score runs. The team thinks that the batsman should be sent to another batsman, who scored fast. One such incident was seen in America’s Major League cricket, but here the batsman who had scored a century. The team sent another batsman in place of the player who scored a century. What happened after this, made only the joke of the team.
Team called century Andre Andre Fletcher returned
Los Angeles Knight Riders were competing with Washington Freedom on Friday. In this match, Knight Riders’ opener Andre Fletcher scored a brilliant century. Fletcher was playing 104 runs in 60 balls till the end of the 18th over. After this, the team decided to retired him back. In his place, the team sent the batsman Rowman Powell to the crease.
Knight Riders’ plan did not work
After retiring Fletcher, the team sent Rowman Powell to the crease. But his decision proved to be completely wrong. Powell was dismissed on the very first ball of the 19th over. Powell returned to the pavilion by making golden duck. This plan of Knight Riders did not work at all.

Now, Had this decision worked it would’ve looked smart. The idea itself wasn’t bad thought ..

Fletcher’s century could not win the team
Fletcher’s brilliant century innings also could not win the Knight Riders team. Thanks to Fletcher’s innings, Knight Riders set a big target of 214 runs in front of Washington Freedom. Washington achieved this target on the last ball in a thrilling match. For the Washington team, Mitchell Oven scored 43, Glenn Maxwell 42 and Glen Philips scored an unbeaten 33 runs.
