Why Aadhaar E-Kyc is important?
The government wants that the real and eligible farmers get the benefit of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, Aadhaar E-KYC has been made mandatory to stop fraud. Without E-Kyc, your name can be deducted from the beneficiary list and the money for installment may get stuck.
5 steps of e-KYC sitting at home from mobile
- Open PM farmer’s website (PMKISAN.GOV.IN) or mobile app.
- Click on ‘E-KYC’ option here.
- Enter your Aadhaar number.
- Add OTP to the mobile number link to Aadhaar.
- E-KYC complete as soon as verification is done.
Not on mobile
- If it is not being done on mobile, then visit the nearest Common Service Center (CSC) or State Service Center.
- E-KYC can be done from fingerprint there.
- The status will be updated in 24 hours as soon as the e-KYC is done.
19th installment was released on 24 February
Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the 19th installment of the PM-Kisan Yojana on 24 February. Under this, an amount of Rs 22,000 crore was transferred to the bank accounts of 9.8 crore farmers.
Farmers get 6 thousand rupees every year
Under this scheme, three installments of 2-2 thousand rupees are given to small and marginal farmers, a year (6000 rupees). The scheme was started in 2019 to provide financial assistance to farmers. This amount is deposited bank accounts of beneficiaries.
