In Maharashtra, 105 MLAs, including members of the opposition Mahavikas Aghadi (MVA), took oath as MLAs in the newly constituted Assembly on Sunday. The MLAs took oath on the second day of the special session. MLAs from opposition parties had boycotted the swearing-in ceremony on Saturday, the first day of the three-day special session of the Assembly, alleging misuse of EVMs in the recently held state elections.

Many first-time MLAs took oath on Sunday and the ceremony was attended by a crowd of their family members.
