

Maharashtra News: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Niranjan Davkhare demanded the name of Wadhavan port located in Palghar district of Maharashtra after the freedom fighter and Hindutva thinker Vinayak Damodar Savarkar. The construction work of this port is still going on.
The member of the Legislative Council claimed in a release here that his proposal received a ‘positive response’ in the meeting of the District Planning Committee. The meeting was chaired by Maharashtra Forest Minister and Patron Minister of Palghar Ganesh Naik.
Davkhare also raised local issues, including the ‘Manor Burn Center’ built for special treatment of people who scorched the fire, which is closed due to lack of medical authorities. He also talked about the need to repair toilets at Zilla Parishad Marathi School in Malayan of Dahanu.
