Australia Opener On Melbourne Test: The fourth Test of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 between India and Australia will be played in Melbourne. This will be the Boxing Day Test, which has started from 26th December. After three matches of the series played so far, the series is tied at 1-1. Now before the Melbourne Test, Australia’s star opener Usman Khawaja told how Team India gets support like home ground in MCG.
Speaking to Star Sports, Usman Khawaja said, “The interesting thing is, when we play in Melbourne, it feels like India’s home match. I last played in Melbourne and there were a lot of people supporting India. I remember the announcer was urging everyone to cheer for Australia, but there was very little noise from the crowd.”
Usman Khawaja further added, “Then, when the announcer asked to cheer for India, the sound was fantastic. I asked, ‘Are we in Delhi or the MCG?’ It can be fun because in Australia you get a lot of Indian supporters and being the home team it can be a bit strange.”
Khwaja could not do anything special till now
