Mexico handed over the US agent 40 years ago to the US, Rafael Car Quinero, who murdered the American agent. Quintero was in FBI’s top-10 wanted list. Such claims were made that he used to get his work done by bribing the US investigating agency CIA officials.
When he was caught, he was 40 years in jail. But after spending 28 years in jail, he escaped in 2013. 10 years later, a search dog from a state in Mexico was found.
How did Quintero become such a big mafia that America placed a reward of 140 crores on his head, and how he was caught … will know in this story…
Farmer’s home birth, hemp cultivated in 2500 acres
Rafael Car Quintaro was born on 24 October 1952 at Badiraguato, Sinaloa Province, Mexico. This area has been a stronghold of the notorious drug Lord (mafia) of Mexico. One of the most notorious smugglers, Joquin “El Chapo” has also been from this area.
Quintero was born into a poor farmer family. He started doing in the fields in childhood. At an early age, he saw the possibility of earning more money in drug business. He started the Guidalhara Cartel, in association with two big drug mafia Migel Angel Felix Galardo and Ernesto Fonseca Karilo.
Quintero started cultivating hemp on a large scale to enlarge his cartel. He prepared a field on 2500 acres in Chihuahua state of Mexico.

He named this farm as Rancho L. Buffalo. Thousands of tons of cannabis were produced from here, the estimated price was more than $ 8 billion.
This farming made Gawdalhara Cartel powerful in drug business. It was one of the first organized drug cartel of Cartel Mexico. This gang smuggled Marizuana (Ganja) and heroin in America. Later, this cartel, along with several Cartels of Colombia, also started the business of smuggling cocaine.
American agent brutally beaten to death
The cartel had captured the drug trafficking route between Mexico and the US. Cartel’s growing strength brought him to the eyes of American Drug Information Administration (DEA). In the early 1980s, Dea intensified the action on Cartels of Mexico.
An agency’s undercover agent was working to demolish the network of Gwdalhara Cartel, Anrich Kaiki Kemarena. The Dea came to know about the Cartel’s farm in 1984 from the input of Camerena. The agency then destroyed the field, causing a major setback to Cartel.
Quintero ordered American agent Camerena to kidnap and kill him to avenge it. On the orders of Quintaro, his people caught Kamerena in February 1985. He was beaten with Behram and killed after interrogation for hours.

Camerena’s body was later buried in the state of Michoacan.
Several reports have claimed that Quintaro had in connivance with the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) officials of the US. He used to do his work in America by giving a big bribe to these officers.
Dea agent Enric Kamerena came to know about this. After which Quinero kidnapped and murdered him. However, the CIA denies the allegation that he had a connection with Quintaro.
40 years imprisoned, then escaped
The American started Operation Layenda to avenge the assassination of agent Camerena. The Dea carried out a large -scale operation to capture Rafale Car Quintero and eliminate its cartel.
For this, the US government started pressurizing Mexico. Under the pressure of the US, Mexico arrested Quintero from Costa Rica in April 1985. He was sentenced to 40 years.
After serving the sentence of 28 years, the Lower Court of Mexico released Quintaro from jail in 2013. The court said Quintero was prosecuted incorrectly. However, this was very angry with America.

The next day, a warrant was issued against Quintaro in the Supreme Court of Mexico. But by then Quinero had escaped.
He again started drug trade and tried to take his old areas back under control. This led to a struggle with powerful cartels like Cartal of Quintaro, Cinaloa and Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG). The return of Quintury increased violence in many states of Mexico.
In 2018, the US placed a reward of $ 20 million (Rs 140 crore) over Quintaro. This was the most prize money for any drug smugglers in history.
10 years absconded, dog discovered from bushes
Drug Lord Rafael Carcuts escaped the next 10 years after being released in Quintaro 2013. Arrested on 15 July 2022. A big operation went on for this.
The US’s Dea and Mexico’s security agencies had been tracking the location of Quinero for many years. American intelligence agencies came to know that Quintero Sinalo is hiding in Choek area of the state.
In July 2022, the Navy of Mexico started the operation to catch him. The operation used the US Navy’s Special Force and investigative dogs. Out of these, a investigative dog named Max discovered him from the middle of the bushes.

Quintero was arrested without any conflict. He was placed in the high-security jail in Altiplano. (Photo ai generated)
In this operation, a Mexico Navy helicopter was accidental. 14 soldiers were killed in the accident. Efforts had started to extradite America only after the arrest of Quintero. The then US President Joe Biden also expressed happiness over his arrest.
