Iraq census after 40 year: The Islamic country Iraq, located in the Middle East region, first conducted a census in 2024 in 40 years. 70.2 percent of the population in Iraq lives in urban areas, while in the Kurdish region this figure is 84.6 percent. The employment rate in Kurdish regions was 46%, which is more than 41.6 percent of the federal Iraq.
