Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award 2024: On Thursday, the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports announced the National Sports Awards 2024. In which 4 players have been selected for the Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award. Whereas the names of 32 athletes were approved for the Arjuna Award. Apart from this, 3 coaches have been selected for the Dronacharya Award. Also, 2 coaches will be honored with Lifetime Dronacharya Award. At the same time, the President will present the awards to the award winners in a special ceremony organized at Rashtrapati Bhavan on January 17, 2025 at 11 am.
Apart from para-shooting coach Subhash Rana, Deepali Deshpande and hockey coach Sandeep Sangwan have been selected for the Dronacharya Award (regular category). At the same time, badminton coach S Muraleedharan and football coach Armando Agnello Colaco will be honored with the Dronacharya Award.
These athletes will receive Arjuna Award
32 athletes have been selected for the Arjuna Award. In which the names of athletes Jyoti Yaraji and Annu Rani are included. Apart from this, boxers Neetu and Sweet will be honored with Arjuna Award. Also, other selected names for Arjuna Award include chess player Vantika Aggarwal, hockey player Salima Tete, Sanjay, Jarmanpreet Singh, Sukhjit Singh, para-archer Rakesh Kumar, para athlete Preeti Pal, Jeevanji Deepti, Ajit Singh, Sachin Sarjerao player, Praveen Surma, H Hokato Sema, Simran ji, Navdeep have been selected.
Also for the Arjuna Award, para badminton players Nitish Kumar, Tulsimathi Murugan, Nitya Sri Sumit Sivan, Manisha Ramdas, para judo player Kapil Parmar, para shooters Mona Agarwal, Rubina Francis, shooters Swapnil Suresh Kusale, Sarabjot Singh, squash player Abhay Singh, Swimmer Sajan Prakash and wrestler Aman have been selected. Let us tell you that these athletes will be honored as President Award winners in a special ceremony organized at Rashtrapati Bhavan on January 17, 2025 at 11 am.
