US President Donald interacted with Ukrainian President Jailonsky on Wednesday for about 50 minutes during the NATO Summit in the Netherlands. Jailonsky said that he discussed with Trump on real peace and the safety of Ukrainian people.
In this meeting, the two leaders spoke on arms supply, drone making and ban against Russia. Trump said that he would soon talk to Putin to end the war. At the same time, Jailonsky told that Russia is not in the mood of the ceasefire yet.
NATO chief Mark Rute said Russia is rapid weapons with the support of China, Iran and North Korea, which is a challenge for NATO. He also spoke of not trusting Putin.
NATO has targeted to 5% of defense spending by 2035, in response to Trump’s demand and Russia’s threat.
Putin will not go to Brazil
Russian President Putin will not go to the BRICS Summit to be held in Brazil next week. In 2023, the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued an arrest warrant against Putin on the charge of forced to take Ukrainian children to Russia. Russia has dismissed these allegations, but Putin is cautious of going to member countries for fear of arrest.
