
India vs England T20 Series Squad: Mohammed Shami has returned to Team India after about 14 months. The selection committee of the Board of Control for Cricket in India has given Shami a chance for the series against England. Shami will play in the T20 series against England from January 22. But along with this a shocking report has come out. According to this, Shami will not play all the T20 matches against England.
Shami played his last match for India against Australia in November 2023. This was an ODI match. Whereas Shami played his last T20 match in November 2022. Now he has returned to Team India after about 14 months. Shami was worried due to injury. After recovering, he played in domestic matches and performed well. Now he will be seen playing against England.
Why will Shami not play all T20 matches?
Actually, India also has to play an ODI series against England after T20. After this the Champions Trophy 2025 will start. Therefore Shami can also get a place in the ODI team. According to a PTI news, he may be given a break considering his workload. With this they will be fully prepared for the Champions Trophy 2025. However, no official information has been received regarding this.
Shami had surgery done after the World Cup final –
Shami played his last match for India in the ODI World Cup 2023. He appeared in the final match against Australia. After this Shami went to UK for surgery. After becoming fully fit, he played for Bengal in domestic cricket. But again he had some trouble. Because of this he could not play in the test against Australia. Although now it has made a comeback.
