Mrunal Thakur recently found herself in the middle of an amusing social media mix-up. On Wednesday, the actress responded to a post on X (formerly Twitter), believing it was from Pakistani actor Hania Aamir. The post praised her as the “best actor of this generation.” However, it turned out the account was a fan account of Hania Aamirnot the real actress.
The fan account, sporting a verified blue tick, wrote, “I may be emotional, but for me, @mrunal0801 is the best actor of this generation. She is unmatched. I don’t see any other actress as versatile as her in India.” Mrunal, mistaking the account for Hania’s official handle, replied enthusiastically, “Hania, you made my day. Thank you so much, my dear.”
This lighthearted misunderstanding soon caught the internet’s attention, leading to a wave of humorous comments. One user pointed out, “Real ID nahi hai vo (It’s not the real ID).” Another added, “Haha, ma’am, you should have noticed this is a parody account, not the original.” A third joked, “Thanking a parody account? Time to fire your PR.”
Despite the mix-up, fans appreciated Mrunal’s graciousness in responding to what she believed was genuine praise. Some even speculated that Hania Aamir herself might feel flattered by the fan account’s heartfelt compliment.
On the work front, Mrunal Thakur continues to shine in her career. She is set to star alongside Adivi Sesh in the upcoming action-drama ‘Dacoit’, directed by Shaneil Deo.
