Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who has said goodbye to international cricket six years ago, is not currently retiring from the Indian Premier League and says he wants to enjoy playing cricket like a child. The 43 -year -old captain, who won India’s ODI World Cup (2011), T20 World Cup (2007) and Champions Trophy (2013), was last played in June 2019.
In the IPL, he plays for Chennai Super Kings and will now play as a player (who does not play international cricket) due to his departure from international cricket for more than five years.
On the occasion of the launch of his app prepared by single dot ID here, Dhoni said, “I have left international cricket in 2019. Meanwhile, I want to enjoy my game like a child in all the years I have left.
He said, “I want to enjoy it in the same way that I used to take it in my school days. When I lived in a colony and there was time to play at four in the afternoon. We used to play cricket at that time. Used to play football when the weather was bad. I want to play with the same innocence but it is not as easy. ”
Dhoni said that while playing for India, his focus always had to perform his best and everything else came later. He said, “As a cricketer, I always wanted to do well for the Indian cricket team. I have already said that not everyone gets a chance to play for the country. ”
He advised the young players to find the right for themselves and determine the elements. He said, “You have to find out what is right for you.” When I used to play, cricket was everything for me, I did not matter anything else. My time to get up to sleep was decided by cricket. Friendship, fun comes later. Everyone should know what is the best for themselves. ”
