India vs Australia 4th Test: Nitish Reddy gave a strong performance for India and scored a century in the Melbourne Test. Nitish has become dominant after this century. He was praised a lot on social media. Mohammad Siraj has an important role behind Nitish Kumar Reddy’s century. Very few people know this. The fourth match of the Test series is being played between India and Australia in Melbourne. Nitish did wonders in this contest.
Nitish had come to bat at number eight for Team India. He played a strong partnership with Washington Sundar. But Sundar was out after scoring 50 runs. After his dismissal, Jasprit Bumrah came to bat. But he too was out on zero. By this time Nitish’s century was looking difficult. But in the end Mohammad Siraj did wonders. When Nitish was playing at the score of 99 runs, Siraj did wonders.
How was Siraj’s role important in Nitish’s century –
Actually, Pat Cummins was bowling the 114th over of the Indian innings for Australia. He dismissed Bumrah on the third ball of this over. After this Siraj came to bat. Siraj played the fourth, fifth and sixth balls of the over very comfortably. During this period he did not lose any wicket. After this the strike came to Nitish. If Siraj had been out, Nitish would not have been able to score a century. Nitish hit a four on the third ball of the next over and completed his century.
Team India strengthened by Reddy’s century –
India scored 358 runs by the end of the third day of the Melbourne Test against Australia. During this, Reddy scored unbeaten 105 runs. He hit 10 fours and 1 six. Team India reached a strong position with Nitish Reddy’s century. However, it is still 116 runs behind Australia. Australia had scored 474 runs in the first innings.
