Nitish scored unbeaten 105 runs till the end of the third day of Melbourne Test. According to a news from NDTV, Nitish Reddy will get Rs 25 lakh as reward for this innings. Andhra Pradesh Cricket Association President Kesineni Shivanath said, “We are happy that a boy from Andhra has been selected for T20 and Test cricket. Nitish Reddy will be given Rs 25 lakh as prize money by Andhra Pradesh Cricket Association.
Team India came out of crisis because of Nitish –
India lost 7 wickets at the score of 221 runs in the first innings of Melbourne Test against Australia. At the same time, 348 runs were scored with the loss of 8 wickets. After this the 9th wicket fell at the score of 350. But Nitish Reddy persisted till the end. Facing 176 balls, he scored unbeaten 105 runs. This innings of Nitish included 10 fours and 1 six. He remained unbeaten till the end of the third day’s play.
Century partnership between Nitish and Sundar –
Team India was going through a bad phase at one time. But along with Nitish Reddy, Washington Sundar also showed his strength. There was a century partnership between these two. Sundar faced 162 balls and scored 50 runs. There was a partnership of 127 runs between Nitish and Sundar. Team India’s score crossed 300 runs. India has scored 358 runs with the loss of 9 wickets in the first innings.
