According to the report of news agency Yonhap, North Korea’s government media visited a shipyard of Kim Jong Un. The agency shared pictures during the visit, where a warship is being constructed. After this news came out, now the whole world including Russia, America and China is in panic.
North Korean military officer gave information
Referring to North Korea’s western port city, a military officer said, “North Korea is building a 4,000-ton frigate in Nampho. “From the size of the ship, it is being estimated that it is capable of carrying surface-to-land missiles from ships.” However, the official also said that it may take several years for North Korea to fully prepare this warship and it may take more than 10 years to deploy it.
North Korea’s largest ship currently is 1500 tons
It is noteworthy that the currently existing North Korea’s largest ship is of 1500 tons, which is equipped with a ship-to-ship missile system. It does not have vertical launching system. Vertical Launching System is an advanced system for placing and firing missiles on submarines and ships.
People’s Power Party representative Yu Yong-wen said, ‘This warship weighs 5000 tons, which looks more like a Chinese warship than a Russian warship. North Korea unveiled the bottom of this warship for the first time in a photo taken during Kim’s inspection in September.
Kim Jong Un said this in the shipyard
During a visit to the shipyard, Kim Jong Un said, ‘Strengthening the naval force is the most important matter for firmly protecting the country’s maritime sovereignty and enhancing war preparedness at present.’
