
North Korean Report Published on US: North Korea’s state media published a report on the swearing-in ceremony of US President Donald Trump on Wednesday (January 22), but in this report, North Korea did not comment on Trump becoming President. However, Korean state media has accused the United States of war crimes during the Korean War between 1950 and 1953.
Rodong Sinmun, the mouthpiece of North Korea’s ruling Workers’ Party, published a brief article. In which it was told that Republican Party candidate Donald Trump won the federal elections held in November 2024 and assumed office as the 47th President of America. The swearing-in ceremony was held in Washington DC, the capital of the United States of America, on Monday (January 20, 2025).
The report, published in North Korea’s official newspaper, did not comment on American affairs or the presidency, although the newspaper did publish a photo of young students receiving education about the Korean War in the 1950s. In which he was seen full of anger over the crimes committed by America.
It is noteworthy that during his first term, US President Donald Trump had held talks with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in an unprecedented summit and he had described their personal relations as important.
Missile test done to attract Donald Trump’s attention
South Korea’s National Intelligence Service told lawmakers last week that Pyongyang’s recent missile test was intended to demonstrate its anti-US capabilities and attract President Donald Trump’s attention. Whereas in an important policy meeting held at the end of the year last month, it had vowed to take the harshest response against America.
