Each fitness point has been prepared at a cost of Rs 3 crore. Along with technical and mechanical engineers, IT employees will also be appointed.
Fitness to be stopped in transport department
Divisional Transport Officer Rajesh Singh said that fitness testing of small and big vehicles will now stop in the Divisional Transport Department from January. For this, the government has signed a contract with the Divisional Transport Department and private company Kaka and Kohli for fitness of the vehicles. Two fitness centers are being built in Jatpura on Sambhal Road. In one centre, machines worth Rs 1 crore have been installed to construct the building and machines for fitness of vehicles worth Rs 2 crore have been installed. However, the fees for vehicle fitness has not yet been decided by the Transport Directorate.
After deducting the fees for vehicle fitness in the fitness centre, some part will automatically go into the account of the Divisional Transport Department. Apart from one technical, one mechanical engineer, two IT people and two security guards will be deployed at the fitness point. The RI doing the fitness work in the department will now do the work of making licenses. Divisional Transport Officer said that the fitness work will start at the end of January. The machines have been tested.
